take this week and enjoy mason before it is over! walk around campus, go to the movies in the JC, hear some of the speakers on campus, eat lunch with a favorite professor. Live up the time we have left!!

My gf is going to be taking them and she just bought the study book. She seems pretty confident. Also, most who I know who have taken it have said it was pretty easy if you studied so I’m sure with a little effort you’ll be okay.

I took the praxis and I passed…. i studied tho.. i bought a practice book from borders! it helped me out alot because i am horrible at taking standardized tests.. hence why i am a nccer! but you will be fine.. its kinda like the SAT… so i am sure you will be ok!

I heard the math portion is by far the hardest…I guess NCC prepares us for the writing
but anyway, as for the math, i hear it’s all word problems so like the person above wrote, practice books should help.

haha… well I was so nervous on the Praxis… I missed the passing score by 4 points. Next, I took the VCLA… this one is nothing to worry about, I thought it was easy. Then I took the praxis again… and this time I relaxed. I passed the Math section so high I didn’t even have to take the other sections again.. but because I already signed up, I did… and I passed those with extra high scores too. So… my problem the first time is… I didn’t relax! Just take a deep breath and do the best you can do. Don’t let anxiety take over. And if you want to study, Borders has so many books on the Praxis you can choose from as study guides. The VCLA doesn’t have anything, but a few questions their website. Look those over, and you should be good to go! Good luck. If you don’t pass the first time, its not the end of the world. Just remember— Relax.
